Description

COCATA1, Changeover Domestic to Commercial Appliances Gas safety, adds to CCN1 and provides for the core qualification that is an alternative pre-requisite to CODC1 before attaining other additional commercial catering appliance qualifications. There are some exceptions to this, but generally most candidates might complete COCATA1, to enhance their CCN1 qualification before adding commercial catering. In broad terms CODC1 to the following subject areas, already covered for domestic installations within CCN1, but is not as comprehensive a qualification as the CORE module CODC1:

  • Gas pipework
  • Appliance tightness testing

  • Re-establishing appliance gas supplies

COCATA1 training takes half a day to complete, with a small amount of extra time potentially being required to undertake and successfully pass the associated COCATA1 theory and practical assessments.
